Arky came of age in the 1970’s, an era marked by women challenging societal norms for equality and empowerment. Many women protested by forgoing bras and, in some instances, symbolically burning them to defy male chauvinism and stand in solidarity with the women’s liberation movement. His innovative approach in creating the WIRED series involved capturing the essence of the bra through an industrial x-ray camera, highlighting the garment's beauty and significance beyond its traditional context. The goal was to portray bras as symbols of women's beauty, femininity, and strength, detached from specific bodies. His aspiration is to help foster a culture where individuals can celebrate their uniqueness without the weight of external scrutiny and for women to freely embrace whatever makes them feel confident and empowered, unencumbered by society's judgmental standards.
