There is a constant struggle in Robion’s work against wear and tear, against forgetting, against nothingness, a demonstration, without intention but persistent, that the past is in the present. Upon a frame of superimposed images are found all kinds of paper: tickets, letters, newspapers, fragments of personal notes either handwritten or printed. From these texts a landscape emerges, one inhabited by a people created out of forms born of ink and color. And all of this represents a sort of sediment that crystallizes, that gives birth to the presence of a new story, that is never identical and that is always renewing.
